The ever-present threat of terrorist activity has resulted in the insurance industry and government representatives working together to maintain the availability of cover for such acts. In line with standard market practice our Office policy excludes ‘act of terrorism’, which we define as ‘acts of persons acting on behalf of or in connection with any organisation which carries out activities directed towards the overthrowing or influencing by force or violence of Her Majesty’s government in the United Kingdom or any other Government de jure or de facto’. When providing us with details for a quotation, you will have an opportunity to request us to include cover for ‘acts of terrorism’.

Business Interruption
You have the option to request a quotation on the basis of either of the following as the result of interruption to your business for up to 12 months:

Loss of Income - the reduction in income of your business and additional expenditure incurred to prevent such reduction.

Increased Cost of Working - if you do not wish to insure for loss of income, but solely for additional costs incurred to maintain your income, you may select this cover.
